Our Tornado Electric Ignition System (TEIS) for flares is the affordable alternative to our more advanced, and extremely reliable pilot monitoring system. The TEIS uses a timer to initiate a series of high voltage sparks every 40 seconds.
Oftentimes, sparking systems have fouling problems because carbon will build-up at the sparking site, eventually blocking the spark gap; however, our patented TEIS system uses a floating electrode, which moves back and forth, preventing excessive carbon build-up. This means you’ll need to service your TEIS system less frequently than other sparking ignition systems.
The TEIS uses electricity rather than fuel gas, and it can be used for sweet gas applications where fuel gas or propane supply isn’t available.
